All's well that ends well, July 8
This was a big travel day!!! We got up early (before the sunrise) and headed to Milan Malpensa airport by 5:15 am. Thankfully, it was a Sunday and the drive and car drop off was easy. We were thankful Vueling airlines did not charge us for checking a small pack we had brought and all was well until the plane was delayed in departure by 25 minutes or more; then landing in Barcelona, we waited for a gate to become available and ended up deplaning on the tarmac. By the time we reached the terminal, we had 5 minutes before our flight to Paris was taking off!! It seemed most likely that we would miss that flight. As we were running through the terminal to our gate, our short prayer was, "Lord. evidence Yourself right now". (Of course, there is nothing random that happens in our lives.) When we got to our gate, they had already shut the doors and told us we would have to catch the next flight...BUT, in answer to our prayer, God worked it so they re-opened the door to the plane for us. (We don't have any other explanation for that!) Our luggage was not so "lucky" and we got it in Paris after the next flight from Milan arrived after about 30 minutes. Then we got to our little hotel room and rested. Sorry, no pictures.
