Wedding Day! July 15!!!
This was the BIG DAY! So we got off to Limoges to meet with the wedding party and friends so that Alyssa could help with the makeup. After that, we were all off to the Marie (townhall) for the civil wedding ceremony. The bride was BEAUTIFUL and it was so much fun being with the whole family!
The ceremony in progress --which Brad and I interrupted by closing the doors--French law requires the doors be open in case of a last minute protest to the wedding. Thankfully, we weren't sent to the galleys!

And then off to the Chateau Rocher in St. Matthieu for the family wedding, hors d'oeuvres, wonderful dinner of quail and dancing and the party still was not over at 2:00 a.m!

The day--very long day--in the most beautiful of settings was filled with joy, music, great food and wonderful fellowship with family and new acquaintances. Sometimes communication was a challenge as some guests did not know English and we did not know much French, but love and well wishing was enjoyed by all.
